Amber's Mini TX Vacation

Thanks to my mother I was fortunate enough to be able to take a mini vacation and visit her and other family members in Texas a couple weeks ago (June 20-23). I flew down on a Friday and right back on the following Monday. I wish it could've lasted longer because we were having such a wonderful time together. The only thing I regret is not having Benjamin there with me.

We all went camping at Wolf Creek Park and spent most of the daytime on the water, basking in the sun, and the nighttime in and around the campers. I mostly enjoyed being able to spend time with my niece and nephews because they're growing so fast, and I know the youngest two don't really remember who I am. I love that I can still go home and fit right in. I've not been alienated to where going home feels in any way unnatural. I hope it's always home, just the way it is now. I love the comfort in knowing it's there for me when I need it. Some days I miss it terribly.
